We will be placing unclaimed awards (including BAM Bad Ass Awards and BAM-X Finisher Visors) & lost/found items at Wasatch Running Center (90th S. State Street, Sandy) where they can be picked up UNTIL MON. JULY 13TH. Lost and found items will need to be described in detail before they will be handed over.
BAM-X RACE CANCELLATION INFO
Unfortunately due to weather and safety concerns, we were forced to make a decision to close our BAM-X course. This affected our BAM-X athletes, BAM-X Doggie Doo Athletes, and our BAM Bad Ass candidates. Closing this event was not a popular decision, but we believe it was the right decision to make given the information we had available at the time. This information included recent lightning on the run course, high winds, and current weather predictions indicating that a second storm cell was due to arrive at Soldier Hollow during the time when athletes would have still been on the course.
Each of our 2009 BAM-X Registered Athletes should have received an email from us last weekend outlining what we would like to do to make the cancellation up to you, if you did not receive that info please email Charity Vernon at charity at bamtriathlon dot com and she will get that to you. Again, WARP regrets that we were forced to cancel the BAM-X events, but hope that our compensation package will be worthy of your loyalty and patronage well into the future as you grow with us and our events. Thank you again for your patience and understanding in this situation and we hope to race with you soon.
Any BAM-X Athletes that didn't get their Finisher Visor or BAM Bad Ass Athletes that didn't receive their Bad Ass award can pick that up at Wasatch Running Center UNTIL MON. JULY 13TH. We will be mailing BAM Bad Ass Awards and BAM-X Finisher Visors to our out-of-state athletes in the coming days.
09 ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES JUNE 9TH @ 9PM!
BAM Weekend 2009 will take place Friday June 12th and Saturday, June 13th. The 3/4 Mile Kid's Fun Run will once again take place Friday evening, and NEW for 2009 is a 9K Trail Run & 5K Fun Run/Walk on Friday evening as well. The BAM Tri & BAM Lite Tri (new shorter distance, 750 meter swim, 22 mile bike, 3.1 mile run) kick things off on Saturday with a NEW START TIME of 8AM and bike drop off race morning! Later that day at 5PM, the BAM-X Off Road Duathlon & Doggie "Doo"athlon will take place at Soldier Hollow. There is something for everybody, from kid's to off-road racers to even the family dog!
