Triathlon participants know that a race can't happen without the help of volunteers! We are looking to put together an excellent team of volunteers who are willing to offer their assistance and support in order to make the Battle at Midway Triathlon an event to remember.

All volunteers will receive a CoolMax BAM Triathlon shirt, along with lots of free sponsor swag food, drinks, and much, much more!!!

Volunteers are needed starting Wednesday, June 11th up until Sunday, June 15th.. Race Volunteers can help in a number of positions, a full description of all positions available is listed below:

    VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
    2 awesome BAM 2007 volunteersPacket Stuffing - Come help us stuff the great BAM swag bags and registration packets that athletes will pick up on Friday. This position will only be for a few hours Wednesday night. (Position date: Wednesday evening, June 11th)

    Registration & Check In Of Volunteers - Volunteers will either assist at the registration tent or at the volunteer check in booth of Friday afternoon/evening, at bike check at T-1 (Swim Venue), or at another registration related position. (Position date: Friday, June 13th)

    Kid&'s Race Volunteers - Volunteers will assist with handing out finisher awards, and registration packets to the kids run participants. Since the time requirements of the kids run are minimal, we are also asking these volunteers to help with the triathlon course setup for an hour or two. (Position date: Friday, June 13th)

    Tri Swim Venue Volunteers - Volunteers will either assist as swim spotters, T-1 aid station, body marking, venue security or directional volunteers. We are also in need of 8 swim spotter kayakers, and 2-3 motor boats/jet skis that can help us keep our athletes safe in the water. It is preferred that you are a experienced kayaker with your own water craft. WARP will have some available kayaks for use if needed. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

    Tri Bike Course Volunteers - Volunteers will either assist as bike course spotters (provide updates via radio to race announcers), direction assistance personnel on the bike course, or at T-2. We are also in need of any licensed motorcycle operators to transport our USAT officials (up to 3) around the bike course so they can ensure athletes are following the drafting and other USAT bike rules. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

    Tri Run Course Volunteers - Volunteers will assist with providing run course direction assistance or help at the run course aid stations (6 aid stations) in distributing fluids and gels. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

    Tri Finish Area Volunteers – Volunteers are needed to help assist in handing out finisher awards, food & drinks at the finish tent and finish tent security to ensure only athletes, volunteers and sponsors are entering the food tent area. Also need some timing assistance at finish line. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

    Tri Parking & Shuttle Volunteers – Volunteers will help secure the VIP parking area and show athletes where to pick the shuttles up. We will also need general parking volunteers to assist non VIP parking permit holders to park in the field adjacent (to West) of T-2 area at Soldier Hollow. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

    Duathlon Course Volunteers - Volunteers will assist with providing run course direction, bike course direction, assistance at the run course aid stations (4 aid stations) or assist in handing out finisher awards, food & drinks at the finish tent. Some timing assistance at the finish line also needed. (Position date: Sunday, June 15th)

    Venue Setup/Cleanup Volunteers - Volunteers will assist in the setup of the triathlon & duathlon race courses. From setup of the expo and finish areas, to sweeping the tri bike course, we would love any sort of assistance volunteers can offer during any of the 3 days. (Position date: Thursday 6/12 all day, Friday 6/13 all day, Saturday 6/14 afternoon/evening).

    Communications Volunteers - We are in need of several portable HAM radio's or radio operators to assist WARP race directors in communication on Saturday. (Position date: Saturday, June 14th)

SOLDIER HOLLOW LEGACY PARK - 2002 Olympic Drive P.O. Box 2002 Midway, UT 84049
From Salt Lake City: take I-80 East to Silver Creek Junction (exit 146). Go east on U.S. 40 past Jordanelle Reservoir toward Heber City. Take right turn on State Road 113 (100 South) to Midway. Take a left on 113 in Midway, and travel two miles. Turn right just before the railroad tracks and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park, Soldier Hollow is about 53 miles from downtown Salt Lake City.
From Park City: Take State Road 248 East to U.S. 40 to Heber City and then follow U.S. 40 to Highway 189. Take 189 to State Road 113, turn right onto State Road 113. Follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.
From Provo: Take I-15 South to the Orem 8th north exit to US 189 drive east through Provo Canyon until you reach State Road 113. Turn left onto State Road 113, follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.

DEER CREEK RESERVOIR - ISLAND BAY - Highway 189 Midway, UT 84049
For BIKE DROP OFF ONLY, NO SPECTATOR VEHICLES will be allowed at Island Bay RACE MORNING, all spectators & athletes must CATCH A SHUTTLE bus at the Soldier Hollow Legacy Park and be shuttled to the race start/swim venue. All spectators will then be shuttled back to transition 2 and the finish at Soldier Hollow.
From Salt Lake City: Take I-80 East to Silver Creek Junction (exit 146). Go east on U.S. 40 past Jordanelle Reservoir toward Heber City until you come to the edge of town, turn west onto Highway 189 and follow 189 to the Island Bay (northern most marina on Deer Creek). Deer Creek is located 10 miles south of Heber.
From Park City: Take State Road 248 East to U.S. 40 to Heber City and then follow above directions to Island Bay.
From Provo: Take I-15 South to the Orem 8th north exit to US 189 drive east through Provo Canyon until you reach Island Bay.
